Version changes

0.2.0-beta.5

  • A revoked phone stays revoked. kai link revoke is now final at pairing time too: an offer from a revoked phone — by its identity or the address it was revoked under — is refused before any code shows. kai link pair --reapprove is the one deliberate way back in.
  • Pairing refusals say one sentence. Every refusal on the wire is the same plain message, and an invitation past its five-minute window is refused before any cryptographic work — a watcher on the address learns nothing about the ceremony's state.
  • Names print honestly. Invisible and direction-changing characters are stripped from a phone's chosen name at the confirm prompt, so the name you approve is exactly the name you see.

0.2.0-beta.3

  • The session. kai with no arguments opens a conversation — say what you want in plain language and it does it, naming the command it ran and asking before it changes anything. Ctrl-C stops an answer.
  • Agent mode. kai chat --agent (or /tools on) lets Kai read files, write files, and run shell commands in your working directory. Every command and every write asks you first; saying no is safe: Kai is told, and takes another path.
  • Phone pairing (K.ai Link). A phone can pair with this computer and ask your linked folders from anywhere — a six-digit code shown on both screens, end-to-end encrypted. kai link pair/devices/revoke manage paired phones; the account key your phone sets up after pairing lands reliably even if the first acknowledgement is lost, and pairing records and keys are written atomically and owner-only.
  • Mac support. The same kai and kaid ship as a universal macOS build. The installer sets up a launchd agent on a Mac and a systemd user unit on Linux.
  • One-command install. curl -fsSL https://usek.ai/install.sh | sh downloads the right build, verifies it against the signed manifest, and installs user-level. No root.

0.1.0-beta.3

  • Low-balance message. The cost line below an answer shows a message when your balance goes below one dollar. The server sets this message, so all your devices agree.

0.1.0-beta.2

  • New web address. The CLI connects to api.usek.ai by default. The product and your key do not change. The old address alohak.ai continues to work.
